I train clients between 30 - 90 minutes and one thing is for certain; I won't allow you to waste your money.

But you must be prepared to make the investment in yourself if you want the very best results.

These are customised exercise programmes, designed to help you reach your unique health and fitness goals.

Exercising can be fun! I can help you select activities that you enjoy, and also choose exercises that will keep you challenged and on track towards reaching your fitness goals. I have vast knowledge of various exercises, tools and techniques that can make your workouts both fun and extremely effective.

When you choose a perosnal fitness program I will begin the process of getting to know you; in terms of your health and fitness goals, your health and exercise history. With this information I will design and implement a bespoke exercise program just for you.

 

It’s very important to give your body plenty of fluid before, during and after exercise.

This will help you exercise but good hydration will also make you feel better, and make your body work better.

The best thing to drink is just water. Anything else is second best if you have a balanced diet. If you are exercising a lot e.g 5+ times a week (x 60 mins) then you might consider using energy drinks (still not sparkling). However for most water is all you need.

You can tell whether you are properly hydrated by the colour of your urine. It should be clear and plentiful. If it is yellow then you are dehydrated.

Different people need different amounts of water per day so our advice is drink a medium glass every hour until your wee becomes clear. If it doesn’t become clear then use a bigger glass, if you find you are going to the toilet too much then use a smaller glass. After a few days you will get the hang of how much you need and you will surprised how much better you will feel.

Make sure you are well hydrated before you exercise and take a bottle of water with you to drink during your exercise. Some people find it a little uncomfortable to drink whilst exercising, if so just sip little and often.

It's very important that you drink water after you've finished, the amount varies from person to person but just follow the guidance above and you'll find the right amount for you. Try it...you'll be surprised how much better you feel!

 

 

One of the most daunting decisions is what to wear. If you've not been to a class for a while and your tracksuit/leggings/shorts are a bit dated don’t worry.

Get yourself a comfortable pair of shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. You will also need some comfortable trainers. For outdoor exercise please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for inclement weather.

We would recommend you don’t break the bank with lots of new gear in the early stages. Once you get into the habit you will be able to buy additional bits of clothing/trainers that suit the class you have chosen.

 

Take a bottle of water and a towel. If you need to take any other equipment (e.g. exercise mat) then the instructor will usually indicate in their class description. If you’re not sure then call/email.

 

personal trainer is a fitness professional involved in exercise prescription and instruction. They motivate clients by setting goals and providing feedback and accountability to clients.Trainers also measure their client's strengths and weaknesses with fitness assessments.

Panther Fitness Buggy Fitness sessions are designed for Mums (or Dad's/Carers) to bring their little ones with them, Buggy Fitness classes includes a mixture of cardiovascular and strength training, with particular emphasis on abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, making sure that all exercises are suitable for new Mums.

Our sessions will reinvigorate all areas of fitness - muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility.

Your muscles will get a wake up call and you will have more fun in the fresh air with fun, like-minded mums (and dad's) than you ever have in a sweaty, crowded gym.

By incorporating a variety of fitness methods, from core stability to resistance training to plyometrics, you will lose that stubborn baby weight, tone your muscles, develop better posture, regain energy and confidence and safely and effectively restore your core all while keeping your child happy and entertained.

All fitness levels are welcome - from sprinters to walkers. No one will ever leave class feeling under-challenged or overwhelmed.

All sessions are conducted by instructors with pre and post-natal qualifications so you can be confident that the programme set takes into account the changes that take place in a new mum's body pre and post having a baby.

 

My boot camps are personalised and based on a group booking.

I do not run them at a set time, day or week. I invite a group of friends/family/colleagues to get together, encouraging social workouts and group support. Bring on the high fives!!

We discuss the time and day of the week and location that suits you and the price is based on a minimum of four (maximum of 10) people booking per session. Packages can also be booked which will provide you with a saving of up to 10% and free gift of a pamper session at a local salon for the main booker.

As a guide the price is :

Bootcamp (up to 10 clients) 1 hour: £50.00

Package of a block of 10 sessions: £450

Packages can be altered to suit your needs and if you require to have your workouts in the dry as opposed to on a common or in the Park or other outdoor location then that can be arranged dependent on availability at studios near to your chosen location. If your home has a large enough outdoor space we can also run bootcamps there too!!

Your personal nutrition and fitness program begins with a private, individual analysis of your current lifestyle by us or a qualified nutritionist*.

These nutritional assessments are personalised and will benchmark your current height, weight, BMI, and body fat. 

From there, a nutritionist will work on your nutritional needs with:

3 x 60 minute personal one-on-one sessions

The Personal Training Introductory Package is designed to help you learn how to use fitness equipment and increase the effectiveness of your workouts with one-on-one sessions with a Personal Trainer. The package also includes a copy of each of your workouts for reference.

Start out strong with three fun and energetic sessions that’ll introduce you to the many benefits of a professionally guided workout experience.

Session 1

You will begin with an introduction to the effectiveness of resistance training. Plus, you’ll get familiar with cardio equipment and learn appropriate flexibility techniques

Session 2

Next, we’ll introduce you to advanced resistance training using free weights and cable equipment. This session will provide you with an understanding of how resistance training, with both machines and free weights, is important and effective tool to acheive your fitness goals

Session 3

Lastly, you’ll learn how to work out using functional training equipment like stability balls, balance cushions, resistance bands and more. It’s challenging, different and fun.

These sessions will vary based upon your fitness level and experience. At the end of these three sessions, you’ll come away feeling inspired, energised with a better understanding of what Personal Training has to offer.

Get Fit Quick Package: 16 sessions £450

The Get Fit Quick package is our most popular package and has been part of Panther Fitness offering with many clients starting with this package.

It's based on the client training at least 4 times per week, week in, week out for 4 weeks, results are always seen. A diet guide is also provided, with every pack tailor made for each client.

This refers to your postural muscles (the ones around stomach/sides and back). If you tense your stomach (as if someone is going to poke you in the stomach) those are your core muscles. Doing exercises to strengthen these muscle will improve your posture and reduce back problems.

Although core strength is an integral part of all my personal training programmes it may be something that you want to concentrate on. Starting off with basic core exercises, where we build strength and concentrate on super strict form, before moving onto using unstable platforms. This will increase the bodies ability to stabilise as well as becoming stronger. Then moving onto much harder dynamic core exercises which strengthen the muscles, taking the body through all its planes of movement.

This is important as it will build strength through movement and this is how the body uses strength on a daily basis. Helping you to become functionally stronger.
